University of Toronto

Governor

• Monitored the quality and substance of institutional leadership and decision-making and provided input on proposed policies at various stages of development.
• Developed institutional guidelines for restarting research during the COVID-19 pandemic in consultation with community members to ensure safe recovery and adaption of research operations.

Varsity Publications Inc.

Director General

• Supported the governance and oversight of Varsity Publications Inc. that publishes the University of Toronto's oldest newspaper since 1880.
• Controlled budgeting and finance ($350k+) of the corporation.

International Students' Council (ISC)

President

• Coordinated efforts centered on international students’ interests and concerns including career development, networking, and potential changes in programming and governance at the university, city, and provincial levels.
• Raised $10k+ in funding, organized 50+ events/workshops, and established a long-term partnership with 4 student associations across Ontario.

Mental Wellness Association for International Students

Co-Founder & President

• Conducted a university-wide survey among hundreds of international students to identify common mental health-related concerns.
• Established a student-led association where students get involved in the policymaking process within the City of Toronto and the provincial and federal governments.
